What’s in a name?

Farmers State Bank has been serving the people and businesses of southwest Missouri for more than 100 years. While a century in business has earned them the trust and respect of the community, the name and brand just weren’t the right fit for their strategic vision. The leadership team had created a plan to take an innovative and modern approach to banking – with state-of-the-art technology and unmatched convenience – and needed a brand name and platform to match. ”LimeBank” was born from a desire to get noticed: “The name is not a traditional bank name because we do not plan to be the traditional ‘status quo’ bank in the future,” says Brandon Fabris, Chairman of the Board. “LimeBank” was selected because it is unique and different, which is what we plan to be.”

After the name was chosen, Stature was brought on board to develop the brand’s personality and identity platform, from the tone of voice and core values to the visual identity and marketing system. Every element was created to be a bold and pleasant departure from the boring-bank stereotype. In a word, “refreshing!”

As with any re-brand, it was of the utmost importance to bring the new brand to life for current employees, so that their customer service and enthusiasm would help communicate the bank’s new vision. A simple set of core values was created as a mantra for those front-line team members, our most important brand ambassadors.
